Jamaica Inn - a gem of a resort

I visited the Jamaica Inn for the first time a couple of weeks ago. While I have sent many clients here, have fantastic contacts on and off the resort, I really wanted to experience it for myself. Pictures and words can only do so much, but visiting a place really does show me what it has to offer.

It is a true throwback of a hotel - built in 1950 and family run since the late 50’s it is truly something special. There are 52 rooms (including the very private cottages) on site with an exceptional beach. You never have to worry about not getting a great lounger on the beach or not having shade or service, it is all readily available.

While visiting, I kayaked, snorkeled, paddle boarded and swam in the ocean and everything was truly wonderful. The service by simply everyone at this hotel was truly exceptional and outstanding. From Patrick and Williams at the beach bar with his Rumology course and tasting, Patrice in the evenings with her glorious smile and service and everyone in between. After 7pm, men are required to wear long pants and a collar shirt - this is called simple, classy non pretentious luxury. It was lovely to be somewhere to really feel like you are home and relaxed; the setting and ambiance lends it to that.

Thank you again for the hospitality and I know I will be back for sure. Next time, I really want to visit when the baby turtles are being released into the ocean.
